Event Notes
On Wednesday, April 19th, we will celebrate Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month with a Proclamation Event and Drum Circle held in the Reno Little Theater. Opening remarks will be made by UNR President Sandoval. Proclamations from Mayor Schieve, Governor Lombardi and Senator Rosen will be presented. And the music therapists from the Note-Ables will lead us all in a Drum Circle! The goal is to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease, grow our incredible community, and have fun learning how music and rhythm helps people with Parkinson's.
Parkinson's disease touches people of every age, race, gender, socioeconomic, and cultural background. The Parkinson Support Center of Northern Nevada (PSCNN) works to ensure NO ONE has to face Parkinson's disease alone. That includes people with Parkinson's, caregivers, and family members. We provide PD community groups, practical resources, a mentor program, education, and so much more. Learn more about the Parkinson Support Center at www.pscnn.org or call us at 775-525-0205.
