Winter Break Camp 2021- All Four Winter Workshops

With Christmas Eve being on Friday this year, we at RLT have decided to offer FOUR one day theatre workshops for kids ages 5-13 instead of a weeklong camp. Each workshop will focus on a different theme with different games and exercises. You can either pick and choose which days you would like your students to attend at $50 a day, or you can sign up for all four days of workshops at $175 (a $25 discount!). There will be no family showcase this week so it’s a high fun, low pressure environment for those that may be new to the world of theatre.

The Grinch Games (Monday, 12/20/210- Join us for a day of fun theatre games even the grinchiest among us will enjoy. Students will focus on theatre basics and terminology as they participate in games and exercises with a certain Grinch flair.

Claymation Christmas (Tuesday 12/21/21)- Inspired by the beloved stop motion classics like Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming to Town, students will explore the theme of tableau and how to tell stories one frame at a time. Students will work together to write, draw, and then bring to life their own Christmas comic book stories.

The Nutcracker ‘R Way (Wednesday 12/22/21)- Come on down and show us your best rendition of the Rat King or the Sugar Plum Fairy. Featuring ballet, jazz, and hip-hop, students will learn basic dance techniques and terminology as they learn dance combos based on the holiday family favorite.

Snow Queen Storydrama (Thursday 12/23/21)- Come explore the story of the Snow Queen and embrace your inner magic as we discover the true meaning of love. Frozen fractals will be all around as we recreate the worlds of Arrendelle and Spitsbergen right here in Reno.
